The Tree Thread

My photo but not my tree. Japanese white pine (I think) framed by some gorgeous wisteria at the National Bonsai and Penjing Museum yesterday morning

Question for everyone. The spirit of this thread is posting a photo of your own tree. Is there a better photo thread for pictures of a professional's garden/museum visits or just nice photography of bonsai outside of the classic profile shot?

Feeling quite excited about this Sabina. It’s got a humble start but the base, live line and deadwood should only get better. I just repotted it, but once it fills in and recovers I’ll be able to detail wire, clean the live line and lil sulphur the deadwood. This tree will get its own thread here at some point.

They do, but ive killed a couple from neglect as in not watering the layer, because I didnt realise it had roots and undoing the layer too soon as in it had White roots, need to wait until the roots turn brown.

Feeling good about this repot! Piñon pine from New Mexico, using a carved out lava rock from the El Malpais in New Mexico, native mosses and hedgehog cactus from the same site as the tree. And the muck was also made using the clay soil that’s is prevalent here. Only non native aspect is the dried sphag and peat moss!
